Strong winds cause large power outage in Dennis other smaller outages on Cape

DENNIS – 4,500 Eversource customers in Dennis along with 100 in Brewster were without power late Saturday morning. The gusty winds were believed responsible for the outage. Eversource crews were working to restore service.

About 400 customers in South Yarmouth lost power for a time Saturday afternoon.

A 47 MPH wind gust was reported in Woods Hole

A Wind Advisory and Red Flag Warning remain in effect through this afternoon.
