WELLFLEET – A large propane tank sprang a major leak in Wellfleet around 4:10 PM Friday. Fire crews responded to 45 Way 35 off Briar Lane and stretched a hose to keep vapors from igniting. They also evacuated the neighborhood as a precaution until the gas company could arrive. It appears the tank had rusted out on the bottom. A technician from F.A. Days was on scene as the gas was drained out so the tank could be replaced.
