Strong winds topple trees, cause isolated power outages

ORLEANS – Strong northerly winds apparently uprooted a large tree which snagged primary power lines in Orleans. It happened shortly before 4 PM on Main Street at Tonset Road. Traffic was being detoured around the scene. Eversource technicians were enroute to clear the tree from the wires.

Meanwhile another tree toppled and snagged wires in Falmouth on Fairview Lane off Seacoast Shores Blvd. A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM.
