TRURO – On Friday April 6, 2018 law enforcement officers and local officials will take their oath to “serve” and protect to a new level, trading in their handcuffs and badges for menus and serving trays to assist servers at the Montano’s Restaurant during dinner. Donations, in the form of tips, will benefit local Special Olympics Programs and the Law Enforcement Torch Run®. The Torch Run is part of a year-round, grassroots fundraising campaign by law enforcement agencies to benefit their local Special Olympics Program.
“The relationship between law enforcement officials, Montano’s Restaurant and Special Olympics is a wonderful example of how corporations can help the communities in which they serve,” said Megan Hoffman, AVP, Development, Law Enforcement Torch Run. “Through the support of communities across our communities, local Special Olympics athletes will be able to continue to benefit from quality Special Olympics programs and athletic opportunities.”
