Local man arrested on heroin warrant

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Tuesday at 5:30 PM, officers observed two subjects sitting behind a fence in the area of the Salvation Army Store at 174 Route 28.

Officers spoke with the subjects and determined that one had an active warrant for his arrest for the Possession of Class A Heroin.

The subject, Christopher Omar Speid, 30, of Hyannis was placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters.

After booking, the Bail Commissioner was notified and the suspect was released on Personal Recognizance after paying the $40.00 Bail Commissioner fee.
