Local police and fire departments gather “Cards for the Guards”

CAPE COD – The men and women of the United States Coast Guard are always there to help others no matter where or when and in any conditions. It is our turn to help them and their families who have no income during the partial government shutdown.

To help them, local the police and fire department will accept GIFT CARDS of $20 or less from now until Monday January 28th. Gift cards for gas, Stop n Shop, Walmart, Market Basket, CVS or Walgreens are recommended by Coast Guard support representatives because the needs of each Guard member are so different. You can drop them off at your local police station at any time.

The Cape Police Chiefs Association and Cape Cod Fire Chiefs Association fully support “Cards for the Guard” and are coordinating the same collections in their communities.

No other donations are being asked for at this time. Thank you in advance.
