CORRECTED: Local Police hosting National Night Out events tonight

Tonight (Tuesday) is the annual National Night Out and local police are holding events as listed below:

CHATHAM – Please join CPD on Tuesday August 7th from 5pm-7pm at the Chatham Community Center for National Night Out, the annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out, celebrating it’s 35th year, enhances the relationship between neighbors and law-enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Everyone is welcome at this community event. We hope to see you, your family and your neighbors from 5pm-7pm for fun activities and games for the whole family along with free hot dogs and ice cream treats with members of the Chatham Police Department.

DENNIS – Join us at the annual Dennis Police community event. Come meet your public servants and other groups and organizations from in and around Dennis! The event is at the Dennis Port Village Green on Hall Street.

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police will hold a National Night Out event from 5 to 8 PM at Simpkins Field, 1153 Route 28 in South Yarmouth.

MASHPEE – Mashpee’s National Night Out is on August 7, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30pm on the green between the Police and Fire Department. Bring your family for food, fun and fellowship. We hope to see you there!

FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Police Dept. will be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of National Night Out (nationwide community crime watch event) on August 7, 2018 between the hours of 6pm-8pm at the Falmouth Police Headquarters. All of Falmouth’s Crime Watch groups as well as the general citizenry are welcome to attend. Among other things, there will be tours of the police station, activities for children including face painting, a K-9 demonstration, dunk tank, and displays of equipment. There will be representatives from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Dept., Falmouth Fire Dept., Falmouth Department of Public Works, Falmouth Human Services, and Children’s Cove. Also, plenty of free food, refreshments, candy and ice cream served for those in attendance.
