WAREHAM – Wareham Police report that on Friday at about 4:30 PM, Officers Eric Machado and Jennifer Braley responded to Walmart regarding a shoplifter. The caller reported that that a male fled when confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect entered a vehicle and fled the lot, in a Nissan Altima which officers located in the parking lot of Aldi’s Market. The suspect had removed a long sleeve shirt in an attempt to alter his appearance. However, after a brief investigation, it was determined that in fact he was the suspect and he was placed in custody. Arrested was 32-year-old Tyson A. Borges who was charged with shoplifting (3rd offense). The total value of the items stolen was $485.00. Borges was transported to police headquarters where he was processed. He was scheduled for arraignment Monday in Wareham District Court.
