Man charged with attempting to rob Falmouth convenience store

hesekdevokpFALMOUTH – Falmouth Police report that Thursday morning officers arrested a North Falmouth man for attempting to rob the Village Pantry in North Falmouth with a knife.

Devon P. Hesek, 22, of North Falmouth has been charged with Attempt to Commit a Crime (Armed Robbery), Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Assault to Rob, and Resisting Arrest.

On Thursday morning, officers were dispatched at 9:37 a.m. to the Village Pantry Convenience Store on North Falmouth Highway for a report of an attempted robbery. Police were told that a male subject entered the store, displayed a knife, and demanded money. The clerk refused. As a result, the suspect fled. No injuries were reported.

Police immediately searched the area for the suspect and located him nearby. After a short foot pursuit Hesek was placed under arrest.

Hesek was due to be arrainged Thursday in Falmouth District Court.
