Tuesday, August 13:

Matthew Mello

7:30 p.m. – Matthew Mello, 36, of no certain address, was arrested by Officers Christopher Corner and Joseph Cardoza for shoplifting. The arrest was made at Stop and Shop.

Wednesday, August 14:

Julie Bergeron

1:45 p.m.- Julie Bergeron, 45, of Wareham, was arrested by Officers Blaise Lalli assisted by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on an active warrant. The arrest was made on Recovery Road.

Thursday, August 15:

Jayce Pastana

6:41 p.m. – Jayce Pastrana, 31, of Wareham, was arrested by Officers Calib Larue, Jennifer Braley, and Sergeant Daniel Flaherty at his residence on an active warrant.

Matthew Thevenin

7:45 p.m. – Matthew Thevenin, 49, of Plymouth, was arrested by Officer Stephen Harrison and Detective William deSilva on an active warrant on Cranberry Highway.

Michael Smith Jr.

8:30 p.m. – Michael Smith Jr., 28, of Middleboro, was arrested by two detectives on Wychunas Avenue following a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Smith had five outstanding warrants.

Donald McMullen

8:50 p.m. – Donald McMullin, 65, of Onset, was arrested by Detective deSilva and Officer Harrison on a warrant at his residence.

Brian Enos

11:00 p.m.- Brian Enos, 39, of Wareham, was arrested by Officers Harrison and Detective deSilva for operating after suspension on Depot Street following a motor vehicle stop.

Pamela Howard

11:30 p.m. – Pamela Howard, 58, of Wareham, was arrested by Detective deSilva and Officer Harrison for operating under the influence of liquor. The arrest was made on Onset Avenue following an accident in which she struck a parked car and then proceeded to strike a light pole.

Saturday, August 17:

Kevin Farren

8:10 p.m. – Kevin Farren, 49, of Woburn, was arrested by Officer Christopher Smith and Special Officer Aaron Swartz by at the Quahog Republic restaurant in Onset Center. He was arrested following a disturbance in which he intentionally broke a ceramic display while yelling and swearing. He is charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and vandalizing property.

Ven Thong

8:20 p.m. – Ven Thong, 72, of East Wareham, was arrested after police received a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Blackmore Pond Road. The vehicle that fled the scene was spotted by Officers Matthew Donovan and Nate Aronson on Cranberry Highway near Tobey Road. Although officers attempted to stop his car he continued onto Route 25 before pulling over. After a brief investigation, Mr. Thong was placed in custody charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating to endanger, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Sunday, August 18:

Danielle Engle

5:10 p.m. – Danielle Engle, 47, of Buzzards Bay, was arrested by Officer Aaron Pacheco at Target for shoplifting.

Alfred Allsopp III

6:00 p.m. – Alfred Allsopp III, 51, of Wareham, was arrested by Detective Dean Decas and Officer Nate Aronson for operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and operating after suspension of driver’s license. He was placed in custody after a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway.

Monday, August 19:

Brendin Akusis

5:40 p.m. – Brendin Akusis, 23, of East Wareham, was arrested by Officers Michael Phinney and James White in the woods near Tractor Supply. He is charged with break and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, vandalizing property, and larceny from a building. The arrest is detailed as follows: On Monday, August 19, at about 1:10 a.m. Officer Ryan Turner and Juvenile Detective Karl Baptiste responded to the Mass Coastal Railroad office on Cranberry Highway for an alarm. Arriving at the scene the officers located an open window and a door that had been pried, indicating a break into the building. Sergeant Daniel Henderson arrived as well as a K-9 Deputy for the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department. After an extensive area search officers were unable to locate a suspect at that time.

Detectives then began an investigation and identified the suspect as Brendin Akusis, 23, of East Wareham. Wareham officers were advised to be on the look-out for him and at about 5:40 he placed in custody near the Tractor Supply store on Cranberry Highway. The arrest was made by Officers Michael Phinney and James White. Akusis is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, larceny from a building, and vandalizing property.

Tuesday, August 20:

Michael Pina

12:45 a.m. – Michael Pina, 34, of no certain address, was arrested by Officers Nate Aronson and Ryan Gomes on Sawyer Street for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest. In addition there was an active warrant for his arrest. The arrest follows a disturbance in which Mr. Pina was combative, resisting officers’ efforts to place him in custody.
