Man critically injured in construction accident at Woods Hole golf course

WOODS HOLE – A man was critically injured after a construction accident in Woods Hole sometime after 3 p.m.

Falmouth Police tell Cape Wide News a large piece of heavy construction equipment was backing up when it struck a 47-year-old worker at the Woods Hole Golf Course on Quisset Avenue. He was rushed to Falmouth Hospital and evacuated by helicopter to the trauma center at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

OSHA was notified of the incident and will be investigating.
