Man facing OUI charges after hit and run crashes in Orleans

ORLEANS – At about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, multiple calls were received at the Orleans Police Department about a hit and run crash on Main St. As officers responded to the area, additional calls came in about vehicles being struck along Main St.

Sergeant William Norton located the suspect vehicle, a grey pickup truck in the alley between Mahoney’s restaurant and Westies shoe store. A witness reported that the truck had also struck the building there.

Kevin Diddick, 34 of Wrentham, Ma was arrested and charged with Operating under the Influence (4th offense), Negligent operation of a motor vehicle, 3 counts of leaving the scene of an accident and a marked lanes violation. He was held overnight and was arraigned Thursday morning at Orleans District Court.
