The house at 26 Pine Grove Avenue in Hyannis where a man was found with third degree burns on his feet
HYANNIS – A 34-year-old Hyannis man was medflighted to a Boston hospital Wednesday morning after he was discovered with third-degree burns to his feet.
Hyannis Fire Captain Bill Rex said the man’s mother called for help when she found him in his bedroom at their home at 26 Pine Grove Avenue in Hyannis.
Rex said firefighters found burned clothing and linen in a bathroom and burn marks on the floor. He said that while it appears to have been accidental, investigators are still looking for a cause.
The injuries were described as non-life threatening.
Rex said the Barnstable building inspector and Inspectional Services also responded to the scene.
