PROVINCETOWN – A man was injured while walking on the popular West End Breakwater in Provincetown around 4 p.m. Sunday. Rescuers hiked out to the victim to begin treatment while U.S. Park Rangers brought out additional personnel with a stokes basket along Long Point to the far end of the breakwater. The victim was carried to the truck and then driven to the south lot of Herring Cove Beach. He was then taken to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of a leg injury.
