MASHPEE – A man was seriously burned in Mashpee late Sunday evening. Rescuers were called to a Woodland Avenue residence where according to reports the victim was attempting to put gas on a fire when fumes ignited. The victim was transported to the burn unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Further details were not immediately available.
