SANDWICH – A man was seriously injured in a diving accident in Sandwich Saturday evening. Officials were called to the Sandwich Boardwalk off Wood Avenue sometime after 8 PM. Sandwich Fire reported an adult male suffered a back and spinal injury after jumping off the boardwalk. He was removed from the water and taken to the Henry T. Wing School on Water Street to meet a MedFlight helicopter which flew him to Boston Medical Center. Further details were not immediately available.
