EAST DENNIS – Dennis Fire reports that at 10:04 AM, they were called for a man that fell from a roof. The victim fell approximately 48 feet after suffering from a possible medical condition.
The workman from a Westport, MA company was performing a chimney inspection at 67 Indian Field Drive in East Dennis. The victim had no memory of sliding off a ladder that was leaning against the chimney, down the roof of a two story home all the way to the ground. The man was fortunate enough to land in some bushes that broke his fall.
An ambulance crew from the Dennis Fire Department treated and transported the man to Cape Cod Hospital and later sent to Boston with potentially life-threating injuries.
A Medflight helicopter was called but was not flying due to weather.
