MASHPEE
– From Mass State Police: “On Friday, August 17 at 10:37 p.m. Trooper Edward Alldredge out of the Yarmouth Barracks was on patrol Route 6 East bound in Barnstable. While patrolling he observed a white sedan traveling in the right travel lane drift over the white fog line multiple times. Trooper Alldredge stopped the sedan and approached the driver, as he did so he could detect a strong odor of burnt marijuana.

Trooper Alldredge made contact with the driver Ventrell Wilson a 28-year-old male from Mashpee. He had Wilson get out of the vehicle for a field assessment for impairment. When they reached the rear of the vehicle Wilson turned his body away from Trooper Alldredge and put his hand in his right pocket. Fearing for his safety Trooper Alldredge searched Wilson for weapons. While looking for a weapon in the right pocket Trooper Alldredge located a bag containing 29 grams of cocaine.

Wilson was placed under arrest.

WILSON was transported to the Yarmouth Barracks for booking. Bail was set at personal recognizance.
