Mashpee man charged in death of his father

PLYMOUTH – A Mashpee man is being charged in the murder of his father, more than a month after Raymond Perry was found dead in Plymouth.

Eli Perry, who was already in jail on a weapons charge, faces murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and illegal disposal of a human body charges.

His girlfriend, Paige Malone was arrested on the same charges.

Raymond Perry was reported missing to police on Friday, December 1, 2017, although the reporting party told police that he had not been seen since the previous Sunday November 26, 2017.

The arrest warrant was served on Eli Perry at the Plymouth House of Correction Tuesday night.

Malone was arrested at approximately 7:00pm at 4 Hayloft Lane, Marshfield.

Each will be arraigned in Falmouth District Court.

The arrests were made by Mashpee Police and the State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office.

The case remains under investigation

In December Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said the state medical examiner ruled that Raymond Perry, 64, suffered blunt trauma to the head and had cutting wounds to the neck.

O’Keefe labeled the death a homicide at the time.

Perry’s son was arrested in December by Plymouth police during a traffic stop in which officers say they found a gun in Perry’s truck.

That arrest came about a week after the elder Perry was reported missing.
