Mashpee Police continue to investigate fatal pedestrian crash

MASHPEE
– Mashpee Police are still investigating Tuesday’s fatal crash involving 13-year-old pedestrian Jeremiah Smith. As previously reported, during the 8 p.m. hour on Tuesday, Mashpee Police responded to the fatal motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Quinaquisset Avenue and Orchard Road/Mashpee Neck Road (See original story here). As the investigation continues, they are still attempting to piece together as many facts as possible.

Witness reports indicate a white Ford Explorer, or similar SUV, was in the area at the time of this crash. This SUV may have been followed by a black, or dark colored, sedan. Witnesses state this SUV exited Orchard Road, on to Quinaquisset and possibly continued down Mashpee Neck Road or towards the Brewster Road area.
