Mass Environmental Police, Falmouth Police investigate hunting violations on Falmouth school grounds


FALMOUTH
– From Mass Environmental Police: On Thanksgiving Day, Massachusetts Environmental Police assisted Falmouth Police Department with possible hunting violations on the Lawrence School property grounds. Upon arrival, the individual stated he was using a bow and arrow to target Canadian geese.

Further investigation revealed one goose with its head removed and several arrows scattered about the school fields; including one arrow that had struck a shed.

The individual has been charged criminally for the following: no Federal Duck Stamp, no hunter education course, procuring a hunter license via false statement, hunting near dwelling in use within 500’, and careless use of weapon resulting in property damage. All hunting equipment has been seized.
