Motorcyclist seriously injured in Hyannis crash

HYANNIS – A car and motorcycle collided in Hyannis around 3:20 p.m. The crash happened at Route 28 and Corporation Road.

Hyannis Fire Captain Mark Storie said the female operator of the motorcycle was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with a lower leg injury.

He described the injury as serious, but not life-threatening.

A MedFlight helicopter was on standby to fly the victim to a trauma center, if needed.

The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
