SANDWICH – Several crashes kept Sandwich Firefighters busy. Crews were at a car vs lamppost in the front yard of a home just after 3 PM when a report of a crash came in at Quaker Meeting House Road and Cotuit Road. A pickup truck with a trailer reportedly struck a utility pole. No serious injury was reported.
A third crash was reported on Route 6A at Jones Lane minutes later. Two vehicles collided. Three people were hurt, with at least one suffering serious injuries. Mutual aid ambulances from West Barnstable, Bourne and Mashpee responded to the scene.
