Multiple drug arrests made in Wareham


WAREHAM
-Wareham Police report that as a result of citizen complaints into illegal drug activity in the parking lot of 7-Eleven on Barker Road, detectives have made multiple arrests last week.

On Thursday April 5th at about 3 PM, detectives observed a male leave his vehicle in the parking lot and meet another male on Barker Road, then go back to the woods behind the store where a suspected drug transaction took place. The two then entered a car and were confronted by detectives. After a search, a white powdery substance consistent with heroin was located. Both men were subsequently arrested and transported to Wareham Police headquarters for processing. David Alan Daggett, 31, of East Wareham was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (heroin), and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Carlos L. Gonzalez, 30, of East Wareham was charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.

On Wednesday April 11th at 12:15 p.m., detectives were conducting surveillance in the store parking lot again and observed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction involving multiple parties in two vehicles. The vehicles were searched with the assistance of a Bourne Police officer and his drug K-9. Located in one of the vehicles was a substance consistent with heroin. In addition to the suspected heroin, Suboxone and $1,568.oo was seized. As a result of the search, three individuals were placed under arrest. John E. Sulfaro Jr., 29, of Onset, MA was charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Rachel P. Silva, 21, of Kingston, MA was charged with possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone), and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. In addition, Ronald A. Coppola Jr., 23, of Plymouth was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant and will be charged with distributing a Class A substance (Suboxone), and and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.
