Nantucket Police investigate armed assault

NANTUCKET – Nantucket Police report that on Saturday at 5:33 a.m., they responded to a 911 call from a Bartlett Road resident of an armed intruder that had just fled the scene. The victim was assaulted and fought off the intruder who then fled the scene. The suspect is described as a black male. Further details are being developed as the investigation is on-going.

Nantucket Police are advising residents to report any suspicious noises, or unusual activity in the Bartlett Road area between midnight and 5 a.m. immediately. Police continue to urge residents to lock their doors at night and draw their shades in their living areas.
