VIDEO: Continuing nor’easter coverage

CAPE COD – Nearly 1,000 Eversource customers were without power as of 9:30 AM in an apparently storm related outage. The exact cause of the outage was not immediately clear. By 11 AM only a handful of customers were still without power.

1:30 update: Eversource reports 700 customers out in Brewster. Live wires down on County Road in Bourne have 122 customers out that town with 300 out in Falmouth. Sandwich reported a large limb down on Tupper Road temporarily blocking traffic. Surf Drive in Falmouth was flooded at high tide. Minor flooding was reported on Sea View Avenue in Oak Bluffs:

2 p.m. update: A tree is down on wires on Route 6 in Wellfleet near Outer Cape Health Services causing an outage involving about 500 customers. Traffic is being detoured around the scene on to Money Hill Road until Eversource crews can arrive and make the scene safe. The National Weather Service reports a 61 MPH wind gust in Wellfleet.
