New officer graduates academy and hits the streets of Provincetown


PROVINCETOWN
– From Provincetown Police: Police Chief Jim Golden is pleased to announce that Police Officer Shannon Beloin graduated today from the MBTA Transit Police Academy in a formal ceremony held at historic Faneuil Hall. In addition to department personnel, the MBTA Police Honor Guard and Irish American Association Pipes & Drums took part in the ceremonies.

Officer Beloin graduated from the 26-week academy traveling to Quincy everyday where she earned a 97.23% overall grade point average. Officer Beloin, a Cape native, first joined the Provincetown Police Department in 2014 as a community service officer and later served as a seasonal reserve officer. She then earned a promotion to her new full-time role earlier this year and started at the academy in March.

Officer Beloin will begin her duties as a full-time officer on Sunday September 9th.
