UPDATED: Driver charged with OUI after colliding with school bus in Sandwich-no injuries reported

SANDWICH – From Sandwich Police: On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at approximately 8:40 AM,, members of the Sandwich Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus. The crash occurred on Pimlico Pond Road and Lighthouse Lane.

At the time of the collision the bus was enroute to school and had a number of students on board.

The crash was a head on collision. The school bus sustained minor damage to the front. None of the students or the driver of the bus were injured. The operator of the other vehicle involved also sustained no injuries.

The operator of the vehicle which struck the bus, Kohle Kinsella, 25, of Osterville, MA, was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol, marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation by Officer Michael Wood and the Sandwich Police Dept. assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Dept.
