UPDATED: No major problems reported overnight from storm

CAPE COD – No major problems were reported overnight as the season’s first winter storm moved through. 2.3 inches of snow were reported in Sandwich and Falmouth before changing to rain. Winds gusted to 51 MPH in Provincetown. A few isolated power outages were being worked on. 250 Eversource customers were in the dark in Yarmouth. Falmouth Police tweeted: Flooding in multiple locations. Menauhant Rd between Bristol Beach and Maravista. Surf Dr between Oyster Pond Rd and Mill Rd. Barricades are being put in place. Please avoid these areas until the storm subsides and the DPW is able to clear debris from the roadway.

Wellfleet Police reported: While we didn’t get the snow other parts of the state got last night we did get some high winds. The resulting winds caused major damage to a sick tree on Main Street. Main Street was partially closed while the fallen branches were removed.

Thankfully no one was hurt and no damage was reported.
