Off-duty Provincetown officer was victim in motorcycle crash in Eastham

EASTHAM – Multiple sources have confirmed the victim of Tuesday’s motorcycle crash in Eastham was off-duty Provincetown Police Sergeant Christopher Landry. According to Eastham Police, Landry’s motorcycle struck the rear of a pickup truck on Route 6 near the Orleans Rotary. The exact circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. Sgt. Landry was flown to a Boston hospital but Cape Wide News has learned he is now home and expected to fully recover.

Sgt. Landry received a certificate of commendation for his actions in February 2015 when he carried a 93-year-old woman out of a burning home to safety in Provincetown.
