One injured in two-vehicle crash in Harwich

HARWICH
– Approximately 7:30 AM Wednesday, Harwich Police and Fire-Rescue were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at Pleasant Lake Avenue (Route 124) and Queen Anne Road. Upon arrival, rescuers found a Honda CR-V and Acura SUV had collided; both with fairly significant front end damage, and with both drivers still in the vehicles. Medics evaluated both operators and transported one to CCH with injuries that appeared to be not life threatening. The other operator refused further treatment or transport. Firefighters also handled a small fluid spill while Police directed traffic through the normally busy intersection and around the accident scene. Traffic was slowed and backed up in the area until the vehicles could be removed by wreckers and the intersection fully reopened. The collision is under the investigation of Harwich Police.
