YARMOUTH – At about 7 PM Sunday, Yarmouth Police received several calls of an accident on Route 6A near Weir Road in Yarmout Port. It was then reported that one vehicle had left the scene and was traveling west towards Barnstable. At first it appeared that there were more then one vehicle involved in the accident but then it seemed only one vehicle, a Chevy Surburban was involved crossing over the road going up a small incline hit some large rocks and then into the woods. One person was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries. Route 6A was closed until the scene was cleared. Yarmouth Police are investigating.
