MASHPEE – One person was seriously injured in a crash in Mashpee Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened around 4 p.m. on Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) by Mashpee High School. One person reportedly suffered a serious head injury. That victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital and a MedFlight helicopter was requested to Barnstable Municipal Airport to airlift that victim. At least one other person was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Route 151 between Job’s Fishing Road and Old Barnstable Road was expected to be closed for a couple of hours as Mashpee Police conducted crash reconstruction as part of their investigation.
