WEST BARNSTABLE – A frightening ride for a motorist on Route 6 in West Barnstable. According to reports, shortly before 11 a.m. a piece of steel debris came off a truck and right into the windshield of a GMC Yukon behind it. The driver was able to pull into the weigh station on the eastbound side. West Barnstable firefighters took the the driver and two passengers to Cape Cod Hospital with what were described as injuries that were not threatening. State Police are investigating the incident. Further details were not immediately available.
