Orleans cruiser involved in crash

ORLEANS – From Orleans Police: At approximately 7:18 am Orleans Police Officers were responding to Stop and Shop for a medical emergency, when a police cruiser collided with another motor vehicle at the intersection on Main St and Route 28. The Police Cruiser had been responding with it’s emergency lights activated when the crash occurred. The second motor vehicle subsequently struck a traffic light stanchion, knocking it over. There were no injuries from the crash, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Motor Vehicle Crash Reconstruction team.
