ORLEANS – It is with both sadness and happiness that we say “so long” to Dispatcher Joann Henderson, as she embarks on the next chapter in her life- retirement.

Joann has been at the Helm in Orleans for 30 years beginning in 1987. Joann was one of the first voices that many folks on our reassurance program would hear in the morning, and would recognize each and every one of the nearly 100 members by their voices. Joann always put the safety of “her officers” first and the men and women of the Orleans Police Department want her to know how much we appreciated her watching out for us. We will miss you Joann, fair winds!
