Orleans Police train with RFI tracking technology

ORLEANS –Members of the Orleans Police Department were trained last week on the latest in “Project Lifesaver”.

The program utilizes RFI waves to track and locate a missing person, who is wearing a small tracking device.

Officers tested the equipment around different areas of Orleans.

By following the signal strength and direction, officers can locate a potential victim in trouble.
