Orleans Police train with RFI tracking technology

ORLEANS –  Members of the Orleans Police Department were trained last week on the latest in “Project Lifesaver”.

The program utilizes RFI waves to track and locate a missing person, who is wearing a small tracking device.

Officers tested the equipment around different areas of Orleans.

By following the signal strength and direction, officers can locate a potential victim in trouble.
