Outer Cape Gun Buyback a big success

WELLFLEET
– The Outer Cape Police Gun Buyback has come to a very successful conclusion. The Gun Buyback program began on Saturday May 5th and ran through Monday May 14th. During the week plus long event, citizens could voluntarily turn in unwanted firearms to their local police department, for a gift card from a local business.

Twelve guns were brought in for the buyback program between all the towns and will be turned over to the MA State Police for destruction.

Officials would like to recognize the staff of the following departments (too many to list individually) for stepping up to the challenge:
Orleans Police Department
Eastham Police Department
Wellfleet Police Departmen
Truro Police Departmen
Provincetown Police Department
MA State Police
