UPDATED: Overnight vehicle vs pole crash in Chatham injures one


CHATHAM
– On Friday, June 22 2018 at 11:38 pm, Chatham Police and Fire responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of 1671 Main Street (Route 28) by the West Chatham post office.

Officers located a 2016 Ford F-250 pick up with major damage. The vehicle operator: Nicholas Nolan, 29,, Onset, MA, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Mr. Nolan was allegedly traveling west on Main Street and lost control of the vehicle, crossing the roadway and striking a brick property marker, then a large tree before coming to rest in front of 1671 Main Street.

The operator suffered minor injuries and was transported by Chatham Fire/Rescue to Cape Cod Hospital.

There were no other vehicles or persons involved in the crash.

The crash is being investigated by Chatham Police with the assistance from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, with pending criminal charges.
