– Yarmouth Police report that on Tuesday at approximately 9:00 p.m., Yarmouth Police Department Proactive Anti-Crime Unit (PACU) Officer Christopher VanNess developed information that an illegal drug transaction had occurred outside the rear of a restaurant in the area of Berry Avenue in West Yarmouth.

Within a few minutes, PACU Officer VanNess found the subjects involved parked in a Chevrolet Trailblazer in front of the 7-11 convenience store across the street.

Yarmouth Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit Detectives Christopher Kent and Scott Lundegren arrived to provide backup which consequently led to the arrest of Travis M. Goodwin for possession of heroin.

Goodwin was placed under arrest on charges of possession of a Class A substance and was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and processed. He was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in Barnstable District Court.
