hy051216 comp yHYANNIS – Barnstable Police report that on Thursday, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at Cape Crossroads Condominiums, 800 Bearses Way in Hyannis. The search warrant was the result of a month long investigation by narcotics detectives for heroin distribution by Terrance Cardoza, 41,  (left) and his 33-year-old girlfriend Dawn Kendrick (right).

Upon execution of the search warrant, Cardoza stepped into the hallway to block detectives while Kendrick attempted to flush heroin down the toilet in the master bathroom. Detectives were able to get around Cardoza and secure 14 grams of heroin before Kendrick could dispose of the drugs. Detectives also located in the condo a digital scale, plastic baggies and other paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.

In addition to the heroin, Detectives located Kendrick’s prescription for 56 Suboxone strips that was filled on May 10, 2016. However, upon further investigation, detectives discovered that only 19 strips remained after Kendrick and Cardoza had sold the other 37 strips in two days.

Dawn Kendrick and Terrence Cardoza were both charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (heroin), and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (Suboxone) with intent to distribute.

Kendrick and Cardoza were both brought to Barnstable District Court where they were arraigned on the above charges. Both suspects were subsequently held on $3,500 bail.
