OSTERVILLE – Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills (COMM) Fire reports that they received a call at 8:35 AM Sunday from the Town of Barnstable Harbormaster’s office who advised there was an overturned boat near Colliers Ledge, southeast of Osterville. One occupant was on the boat. The individual was rescued by fisherman at the fish weir and needed to be transported back to shore. The vessel had overturned at approximately 5 AM. Coast Guard Sector Southeast New England was notified. Barnstable Harbormaster responded from Hyannis and COMM Marine 310 responded from Osterville. Marine 310 arrived on scene at 8:49 AM and the individual was transferred from the fish weir boat onto Marine 310. The victim was treated and brought into Crosby Yacht Yard in Osterville. Patient was transported by COMM Ambulance 327 to Cape Cod Hospital. Barnstable Harbormaster arrived on scene and advised that a marine salvage company was on scene and the Massachusetts Environmental Police would be contacted to investigate the incident.
