DENNIS – Dennis firefighters responded Monday morning to a pickup truck that caught on fire while the operator was behind the wheel.
Fire Deputy Robert Brown said Howard Stein of West Harwich was traveling south on Swan Pond River Road when he heard a loud “pop” sound.
His 1997 Ford F150 pickup started filling with smoke and then burst into flames. The fire was reported by two police on a road detail just before 11 a.m.
The truck was fully involved when firefighters arrived. There were no injuries.
