MASHPEE – A vehicle apparently struck a utility pole in Mashpee around 2 a.m. Officials arrived on Route 130 by the La Plaza Del Sol motel and found the broken pole but apparently no vehicle. According to the Eversource Outage Map, over 2,000 customers lost power. Most were in Mashpee but portions of Sandwich and Barnstable were also being affected. Most power was restored sometime after 4 a.m. Repair crews were expected to work well into the morning to replace the pole. Traffic delays are possible on Route 130.
