Power out to nearly 400 customers in West Yarmouth

WEST YARMOUTH – Nearly 400 Eversource customers in West Yarmouth lost power about 5:30 PM Saturday. There were reports of a pole fire in the area of Route 28 & South Sea Avenue. It was not immediately clear if high demand due to the heat was a factor. Eversource noted.on their outage map that there was  extensive damage to their equipment. The utility hoped to have the outage restored during the wee hours of the morning.

About 6 PM, another 50 customers were without power in Centerville.
