Power restoration efforts continue as new storm looms-last shelter closes

CAPE COD
– Power restoration efforts are continuing. As of 8 AM, 10,000 were still without electricity across the Cape. Eversource hopes to have all power restored by Tuesday evening. The larger outages have been cleared and now the tedious work of individual or street wide outages is ongoing. The estimate of total restoration will be just in time for a new storm to move into the region on Wednesday. While not expected to be as strong as the last one many shore areas are vulnerable and weakened trees could come down. There is still some discrepancy on the exact track of the storm so stay tunes. Continuing coverage of power restoration in this article through the day.
