PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown firefighters were called out to an early morning blaze Tuesday at 911 Commercial St shortly after 4:30 AM.

The property is described as the Sandcastle Resort Annex.

The fire was put out just before 6:00 a.m. and reports from the scene indicated there was going to be significant overhaul throughout the morning.

Mutual aid was called in from Truro to cover the Provincetown station. There were no initial reports of injuries or a cause.

The one story standalone section where the fire occurred is on the far side of the large parking lot in the shadow of two large multi unit time-share buildings. One of those buildings burned in one of the town’s largest fires in the late 70’s.
