PROVINCETOWN
–  On Thursday, the men and women of the Provincetown Police Department hosted the Annual Senior Luncheon, by holding a summer cookout in cooperation with the Provincetown Council on Aging and Seashore Point Nursing and Assisted Living Care Campus.

A healthy serving of hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled chicken was dished up to all locals seniors attending.

Team members rotated through their duties and took turns handling all of the prep-work, cooking, table service and after-event clean-up.

This year’s event brought out approximately 60 senior citizens who we had the opportunity to interact with and share a lunch with their police officers.

Members present included Rich Alves, Kate Catanese, Ruthanne Cowing, Glenn Enos, Jim Golden, Greg Hennick, Chris Landry, Lisa Cook, Paige Perry, Kevan Spoor, Jason Sullivan and Carrie Lopes.

Also present were Council on Aging Staff Director Chris Hottle, Outreach Coordinator Andrea Lavenets and staff volunteer Char Priolo.

With the continued success of these ventures, Chief of Police Jim Golden is already planning the next opportunity for the police staff to interact with more members of the community.
