Recent arrest activity in Wareham

WAREHAMFrom Wareham Police: Wareham police officers have made multiple arrests and criminally charged several individuals in the last few days.

Christine Pires

  • On Thursday, December 6, at about 12:00 p.m. Christina Pires, 31, of Wareham was arrested on Parker Drive by Officers George Chandler and Zina Kelsch. Ms. Pires had an active warrant for her arrest.

Makenzie Freeman

  • Later at about 4:43 p.m., Makenzie Freeman, 27, of no certain address was arrested by Officer Blaise Lalli and Sergeant Daniel Flaherty at the Wareham Crossing complex. Officers were called to the plaza about a male party causing a disturbance. Upon the arrival officers the male shouted an obscenity to them as they attempted to calm him. Due to his continued tirade and threating a man in front of the officers, he was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and threats to commit a crime.

Sean Sullivan

  • On Friday, Sean Sullivan, 25, of Onset was arrested by Officer Ryan Turner and Sergeant Herbert Noble at 12:30 a.m. on Kins Court. Mr. Sullivan was placed in custody due to a warrant.

Daniel Chapman Jr.

  • On Saturday, at 2:30 a.m., Daniel Chapman Jr., 23, of New Bedford, was arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace on Main Street. Mr. Chapman was placed into custody by Officers Calib Larue and Ryan Gomes following a disturbance in which he is suspected of striking a wall with his head, in a common area of an apartment building causing damage.

Jose Matos Jr.

  • On Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Officers Matthew Donovan and Justin Silveira arrested Jose Matos Jr. of North Dartmouth at Walmart for shoplifting. In addition Mr. Matos had a warrant from New Bedford District Court for shoplifting.

Daniel Angelone

  • On Sunday, at about 5:45 p.m., Daniel Angelone, 33, of Wareham was arrested by Officers Michael Phinney and James White, for strangulation and assault and battery. Officers had been dispatched to an apartment on Main Street where it was reported that Mr. Angelone had grabbed a male by the neck and squeezed following a verbal altercation.

David W. Ewan Jr.

  • Officers Jennifer Braley and Charles Pillsbury arrested David W. Ewan Jr., 28, of Wareham, for operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and disorderly conduct. He was arrested at about 6:00 p.m. near the corner of Main Street and Open Hearth Drive, following multiple reports of an erratic driver. During the booking process Mr. Ewan became unruly and charged toward the dispatch area where communications officers were taking an emergency call. He was immediately taken to a holding cell for safety and processed later.

Samantha Bergeron

  • On Tuesday, Samantha Bergeron, 25, of Wareham was arrested for a warrant by Officers Aaron Pacheco and Ryan Turner at 4:30 a.m. on Cranberry Highway.

Jennifer Cochran

  • On Wednesday, at 1:15 p.m. Officers Stephen Joy and Jon Verhaegen arrested Jennifer Cochran, 39 of Onset for an active warrant on Onset Avenue.

Alexander Gould

  • Later on Wednesday, at 3:30 p.m. Officers Zina Kelsch and George Chandler arrested, Alexander Gould, 29, of New Bedford in the parking lot of Target. Mr. Gould was placed into custody because of two active arrest warrants.
  • It should be noted other individuals were arrested and charged by Wareham Police during the week however public records laws do not allow a public release of the information.
